Electrical Engineers seek roll back of Higher Edu Deptt's order 5/30/2019 9:33:18 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 30: Electronics and Communication stream of Graduate Engineering demanded roll back of the equivalence of degree order issued by Higher Education Department within 24 hours. According to press release, the Engineers working in the Power Development Department and fresh aspirants having B.E Electronics and Communication Engineers today met here at Canal Road office Jammu and discussed threadbare the issue of withholding the equivalence of degree order issued by Higher Education Department no HED/GN/Gazetted/Equi/2018 dated-28/05/2019 in favour of Electronics and Communication background engineers for post of Assistant Engineer-Elect within a period of 24 Hours. The members strongly resented the decision taken in haste at the behest of probably vested interests among the top bureaucracy. However the Higher education department through an immediate communiqué dated 29/5/2019 on the subject matter of equivalence withheld its own order dated 28/5/2019 up to the extent of recommendations on equivalence with respect to the Post of Assistant Engineer-Elect is concerned. This is beyond the realms of any sane understanding that such a high empowered committee rescinded its own decision without even referring the matter to the standing committee which has on board a number of members who were not consulted before issuing such order. It would be naïve on our part to accept that such reversal of decision was done with complete codal formalities and without any interference from vested interests corner among the bureaucracy as such committees have signatories and proper records on board before issuance of orders on matters of equivalence.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
