Doda, May 31: An inter-house poetic competition 'Mushaira' on the topic 'Maa' (Mother) was today organised at Govt. Higher Secondary School Ghat.
Principal HSS Ghat Kishwar Hashmi was the chief guest on this occasion while Mohammad Hafiz Sheikh Master, a well known poet of Chenab region presided over the 'mushaira'. All the staff members and students were also present on the occasion. The program was coordinated by Suraj Balraj Verma lecturer commerce, incharge of Tagore House. Participants from all the four houses viz, Allama Iqbal House, Mahatma Gandhi House, Sir Syed House and Rabindernath Tagore House recited their self composed verses and poetry on 'Mother' dipicting the love and respect for mother and the status of 'mother' in our relations. Mohd Hafiz Anzar also recited his poem on mother. On the basis of their contents and presentation, Insha Tabasum of class 11th from Tagore House, Faiza Tabasum from Sir Syed House and Sahiba Jan from Iqbal house were adjudged first, second and third respectively. They were given prizes by the chief guest. Others who participated in the program include Syed Shafayat Ali Sr lecturer, Shabir Ahmed Lecturer, Shamim Ahmed lecturer and Imran Tantray. |
