GDC Udhampur holds virtual interaction with data analytics

JAMMU, May 31: Government Degree College Udhampur today organized a virtual interaction on topic "Data Analytics: Future of IT in 2020 and Beyond" with Ashley West, Head of ITSS, Transport Accident Commission and Work Safe Victoria, Australia.
After the formal introduction by Prof. Talat Khan about the programme and the resource person Ashley West, the students had a very lively interaction with him.
In the interaction Ashley West talked about a myriad of programmes in Data Analytics vis-à-vis propping up of New age technologies, Internet of things, Artificial Intelligence, and their intervention in the different facets of life, as also about their relevance tothe modern Industry, Commerce, Insurance and IT sectorin particular.
Many a faculty and student of the college curiously asked questions to the resource person and quenched their curiosity. The programme came to an end with an assurance from the resource person to have many such live interactions in the next academic session.
The interaction was coordinated Vikram Aditya Singh Pathania, the Programme Coordinator from Australia.
The programme was attended by a number of teachers from Departments of Computer Scienceand IT,, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Languages, Commerce, BBA, EVS, andtheir students.
