Jammu, June 1: A meeting of the Forum for Awareness of National Security, (FANS) J&K Chapter was held under the chairmanship of its President Major General S.K.Sharma, AVSM (Retd) in which various issues regarding the functioning of the forum were discussed.
According to press release, the forum working in the country to create awareness among the common masses regarding various national security issues i.e. internal as well as external security. This forum is working as a think tank for devising the policies for security of the nation from various external and internal threats. The agenda of the meeting were Preparation for the Kargil Vijay Divas Program which is to be held in the month of July, Planning for celebrating Haifa Day in which brave Indian soldiers liberated Haifa city during first World War and Firming up organizations at district level with membership drive.
Other office bearers who were present in the meeting were Lalit Aggarwal, Vice President, Vijay Singh Sambyal Former DIG and Vice President of the forum, Dinesh Gupta, General Secretary/Treasurer, Advocate Prem Sadotra, General Secretary of the forum and Opinder Sharma, Media Incharge of the Forum. |
