6/1/2019 11:07:42 PM
Early Times Report

Doda, June 1: Bari village of tehsil Marmat on Doda district, 35 kilometers from Doda headquarter, population of near about 3 thousand has been deprived of the water pipeline scheme from last two years and so far the Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) has not given any importance to the villagers. After all what is the reason that every time the people of tehsil Marmat are treated unfairly, Are people of Marmat not human? Why are they always ignored in every field, why the people of marmat repeatedly mistreated?
Speaking to Early Times, a local resident of Bari village Ghulam Mohd said that a water pipeline scheme was sanctioned by government from "Jattu Droor to Bari" two years ago but due to the pathetic attitude of PHE department have not started any work till date. Unfortunately the residents of the village cannot take any advantage of this water pipeline scheme. Even government has already sanctioned Rs 1.5 crore for this water pipeline scheme then why the work has not started yet. He said Jattu Daroor to Bari water pipeline scheme will benefitted all the residents and these people could use the clean natural drinking water. They alleged the locals of Bari village had met Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar Doifode before two month and he assured them that the pipeline work will be started before 15th of May 2019 but even after the assurance of DC Doda no work has been started so far. Residents of Bari village again requested DC Doda to look into the matter personally and directed the PHE department to start the work early possible time, so that people could not more sufferer.
