| Chauhan inaugurates first ever VSS, RR for children with special needs | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: Commissioner/Secretary School Education Sarita Chauhan today inaugurated first ever Virtual Support System for the Department of School Education under VIRTUAL FIELD SUPPORT, named as RAABTA at Directorate of Samagra Shiksha Jammu.
Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha Dr. Arun Manhas, staff of Samagra Shiksha and teachers were present on the occasion.
Later, the Secretary inaugurated a Resource Room (RR) for Children with Special Needs at GHSS Domana under Inclusive Education intervention of Samagra Shiksha. Speaking on the occasion, Director School Education Anuradha Gupta informed that the Department of School Education has taken various initiatives for welfare of students including Counseling Services, Free Textbooks, Free Uniforms etc.
SPD Samagra Shiksha Dr. Arun Manhas informed that Virtual Field Support is a pioneer concept in which a toll free helpline number has been generated which provides both inbound and outbound calls managed by a group of trained females who provide information and all kinds of possible virtual support pertaining to functioning of School Education Department and existing schemes under Samagra Shiksha.
He urged upon all the officials of School Education Department to make a judicious use of the service and feel free to contact on toll free number 1800 572 8585 in case of any difficulty regarding existing schemes under Samagra Shiksha. |
