Early Times Report
kishtwar, June 3: Up in arms against the PWD (R&B) Division Chatroo for its failure in construction of Thal-Kwath road, the villagers of Drubeel and its adjoining areas held a protest today while they announced to stage a dharna next week at Mughal Maidan.
As per the details available with Early Times, the villagers after finding no support from the R&B Division during a meeting at Drubeel expressed their anger over the failure of the Chatroo Division for their failure in construction of the road even after 10 years long delay.
The villagers meeting was held under the aegis of Dehati Labour Union wherein it was resolved to register a Dharna at Mughal Maidan to press for the demand.
The speakers alleged that they made so many representations requesting regarding the unnecessary delay in road construction to concerned authorities despite availability of funds since long but the construction work has not been taken up till date adding that now the villagers are forced to stage dharna since the villagers are facing a lot of problems due to non-availability of road particularly the students who had to travel long to reach the Higher Secondary School.
The villagers urged upon the concern authorities including Governor to look into the issue so that the road construction gets started at an earliest possible time.
