Jammu, June 4: On the occasion of World Environment Day,2019 Department of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing, J&K organised Inter School Symposium/ Painting Competition at Sun Light High School, Utter Behani, Samba. In sync with the theme i.e Air Pollution, Symposium on the topic "Effects of Air Pollution on Environment" was organised. The prizes in the shape of trophies were awarded to the meritorious students. The Eco-friendly material in the form of Cotton bags, Jute bags and wicker baskets in order to discourage the use of plastics was distributed to the students and staff of the different schools. Abhisheik Padha, a Painting expert evaluated the painting sheets and made the judgement. Kuldeep Kumar, DFO,Environment and Remote Sensing alongwith his staff organised the event in which about 1000 students alongwith faculty members of different schools participated. He highlight the need for preserving the Environment and to protect it from toxic gases. He made an effort to aware the audience regarding the ill effects of Air Pollutants on Environment. |
