Early Times Report
DANSAL, June 30: Saying that National Conference has been strong proponent of social justice and equitable development of Jammu and
Kashmir in its totality, Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana on Sunday recalled the initiatives taken over the decades to shape the state as a peaceful and harmonious abode for all.
"This legacy has to be strengthened and bequeathed to posterity with renewed vigour", Rana said while addressing a congregation on the Prakash Diwas of Goswami Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj at Tarah in Nagrota Assembly Constituency, organized by Jan Seva Ka Ek Avlokan, an NGO.
Stressing the need for collective efforts in ensuring social justice and empowerment of weaker segments of society, Mr Rana said National Conference has tirelessly worked for their upliftment and will continue to do so by braving all odds, He referred to the endeavours taken towards welfare and upliftment of the exploited, poor and marginalized sections of people by making them masters of the land holdings they put in their hard toil by enactment of revolutionary Land Reforms Act. This followed a slew of initiatives for their empowerment and economic emancipation, he added.
The Provincial President complimented the organisers for generating awareness among the weaker sections about their rights and working for their empowerment. He said the participants in the multi-faceted programme hold hope and promise for future and he was confident that they will contribute immensely in transformation of these segments of society.
Paying tribute to Goswami Guru Nabha Dassji, Rana said that his teachings and path shown to the humanity will continue to inspire generation and lead to harmonious growth of the society.
