| Green Valley residents rue official apathy | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 30: Residents of Green Valley Sunjwan have expressed deep anguish against the official apathy and rued the dilapidated condition of roads besides interrupted power and water supply to the colony which according sources, they have been facing for quite a long time but the concerned authorities seems to be unmoved, they alleged.
They said that a number of times they paid visits to the offices of PWD and R&B and brought the matter into the notice concerned officials repeatedly but so far,no heed was paid on their part and the woes of residents continues to multiply due to lackadaisical approach of the concerned departments they added.
Locals said that the Sunjwan Green Valley falls in Jammu Municipal limits yet no arrangement of cleanliness or deputing of safai karamcharis have taken place in the area leading to a poor drainage system due to choked drains besides lack of other civic amenities, they added While talking to senior citizens of the area they alleged that the for maintenance of roads , regular supply of power and drinking water we approached a number of times to concerned departments but they turned down our pleas for the reasons that funds were not available with them but we firmly believe that the funds meant for Sunjwan Green Valley have been diverted to other VIPs areas and never botherd to fulfill our demands , the locals alleged. They also approached the Office of People's Democratic party situated in the same area but got no help from them also, they further added. |
