BYS felicitates Karyakartas

Jammu, June 30: In a simple but impressive function held at Yog Ashram, Gole Gujral Jammu, today Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan felicitated all those Karyakartas who volunteered and guided the Yog. Sadhana on the eve of International Yoga Day at the above said locations.
I D Soni, renowned educationist its Commissioner J& K Scouts and Guides, was the Chief Guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion, Soni lauded the efforts of the Bharatiya Yog Sansthan. He said that Prime Minister Narinder Modi in his speech in UNGA on 27th September 2014 proposed the celebration International Yoga Day and it was unanimously adopted by UNGA on December 11, 2014. IYD is dedicated to inner and outer well being of humans. It aims to raise awareness in the world about the benefits of practicing Yoga: a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India, he said. The function was attended by various social 86 cultural heads of different communities.
in his welcome address, Shri Satya Pal, President BYS said that Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, is a non sectarian, social, cultural and non profit making organization, serving the humanity/aspirants both within and outside India for more than 52 years now. The organization has dedicated itself to the cause of teaching Yoga to people. The mission "Jio our Jivan do" is aimed at making people happy and healthy through Yoga, an ancient Indian practice for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
In J&K Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Gole Gujral is running 120 Yoga Sadhana Kendras in and around Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua and Samba. Yoga at these centers is taught free of cost by expert Volunteers (Shikshaks) of the Sansthan. These classes are attended by a large number of people, both men and women, of all age groups on regular basis, he said.
