5 absent employees placed under suspension

RAJOURI, July 11; As many as 11 government offices of various Departments were inspected during surprise inspection in Rajouri. Most of these offices are located at District Headquarter. The checking, which was conducted by a team of officers in district was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Revenue and other revenue officers.
The inspection was conducted under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in order to ensure punctuality among the employees.
It is pertinent to mention here that district Administration Rajouri is conducting surprise inspections periodically to ensure the punctuality and work culture among the employees ,so that the services can be provided to the general public.
The government offices inspected today includes Animal Husbandry Department, Sales tax office Rajouri, Geology and mining department, Excise and Taxation Department Rajouri, IWMP office, Rajouri, Child Development Project Office, Rajouri, General Provident office, Rajouri, District Forest office( social Forestry) Rajouri, cooperatives office, Rajouri, Fisheries Office, Rajouri and pollution control board office Rajouri.
Against strength of 247 officials posted in these institutions, 65 were present while 05 were absent from duty and 11 others on leave 166 more were shown on field duty.
Taking strong note of staff absenteeism following employees have been placed under suspensions by District Administration Rajouri Mohd Majid, Mineral Assistant, Geology and mining department, Mukhtar Ahmed Class IV, Geology and mining department,Fatima Begum and Liyakat Hussain of Fisheries department and Shamim Akhter of PCB department.
All the heads of all institutions have been reiterated to maintain up to date leave accounts of the employees on a daily basis and ensure proper attendance records of their institutions.
DC added that no laxity would be allowed in maintenance of proper discipline, punctuality in govt offices in the interest of greater common good and efficient public service delivery.
