JAMMU, July 11: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) is celebrating a nationwide Swachhta Pakhwara from July 1 to July 15.
In a noble initiative by its office at Jammu, BPCL officials felicitated about 60 Sanitation workers of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and Bahu Plaza Complex offices today.
Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta along with his team of officials presided over the felicitation function at its Bahu Plaza office in the presence of large gathering comprising of prominent citizens of Jammu. While the felicitation function was started with honoring of Rinku Gill, President Civic Safai Karamchari Union by the Mayor JMC and ended with the Swachhta Pledge to all those who were present on the occasion which included the civil society and staff of BPCL.
Rajesh Sharma, the Territory Manager of BPCL in J&K briefed the gathering on the need of getting associated with the Swachhta Abhiyan apart from being a moral citizen towards the cleanliness not only in material world but also within the human mind, through which only the real cleanliness in society can happen.
Mayor JMC, later handed over the token of recognition to the sanitation workers, who also appreciated the efforts of Bharat Petroleum for having recognized them in such a noble initiative.
