DDC reviews bottlenecks impeding railway projects

RAMBAN, July 11: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today convened a meeting to resolve bottlenecks impeding the work of ongoing prestigious projects of Northern Railways in the District.
SSP, Ramban, Anita Sharma, ADC, Dr Basharat Hussain, ACR Harbans Lal, SDM Ramsoo, XEN PWD, Engineers of PHE, PDD, TLMD and representatives of the construction companies, AFCON, IRCON Railway, besides other officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, various bottlenecks were discussed including land acquisition, compensation, security and removal of impediments. The DDC resolved most of the issues on the spot.
IRCON was asked to submit the final damage report to collector, while the collectors were directed to settle compensation cases as early as possible. ACR was directed to identify the land for High School Sumber and XEN, PWD was directed to prepare the DPR for the same.
The DDC directed the PHE department to complete water supply scheme being constructed for the areas affected due to railway construction works Responding to the security related issues raised by the Railway line construction agency, the SSP assured to provided resolve the issue on priority basis. She asked the agencies to submit requisition for additional female security persons as decided in earlier meeting. ACR was directed to provide the land identified by the TLMD for erect the 132KV towers from Ramban to Sangaldan line.
Later DDC also reviewed the security arrangements, traffic movement and other arrangements put in place for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
