275 cases settled in Bhaderwah Lok Adalat, Rs. 1.83 Cr recovered as fine

BHADERWAH, July 13: As per the calender issued by NALSA, in Bhaderwah National Lok Adalat was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah and Tehsil Legal Service Committee ( TLSC ) under the chairmanship of Principal and Sessions Judge, Bhaderwah , Ashok Kumar Shavan at District Court Complex, Bhaderwah. Five benches were constituted to deal with post litigation matters were constituted.The first bench was headed by Ashok Kumar Shavan , Principal District and Sessions Judge and second bench was constituted by Sub Judge Bhaderwah Reenu Dogra and Munsiff Judge Bhaderwah Sandeep Singh Sen . Chairman DLSA also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Lok Adalats and conditions under which people can apply for legal help and under what conditions legal services will be free and affordable.
During the course of day long Lok Adalat, 275 cases were taken up out of which 114 post litigation and 221 pre litigation cases were settled which were compromised by meditation and reconciliation beside an amount of Rs. 18324800 was recovered as fine which was ordered to be deposited in the Government treasury.
