Srinagar, Jul 13: The annual pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas was progressing smoothly as about 17000 pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave on Saturday, an official spokesman said this evening.
However, yatra from Jammu to Srinagar was suspended today for security reasons following strike called by separatists as on this day in 1931, 22 Kashmiris were killed in firing by police during Dogra rule.
