Mandi, July 29: The people of Rajpura Mohra area today held a protest against the Power Development Department for their failure in restoring the electricity in the area added that the department is in deep slumber as the public is badly suffering due to shortage of electricity in the area
With the burning of transformer in Rajpura Mohra area the consumers are without power for the last many days.
Scores of people including women and children staged a protest against PDD for failing to repair the damaged transformer from last few days . The protesters chanting slogans against PDD were demanding repair of the transformer and restoration of the power supply.
We are facing a lot of hardships due to non-availability of electricity in our area. The studies of children have also been badly affected,"
The local residents mohd tariq said that PDD officers have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate and block the roads etc.
They appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD Poonch to issue suitable instructions to the concerned officers at Mendhar to immediately replace the burnt transformer and provide light to the consumers. |
