Restrictions eased out in Kishtwar, medical shops allowed to open

Jammu, Aug 9: As curfew continued in Kishtwar District on 5th consecutive day today following the government of India decision to scrape the Article 370 and 35 A of the construction while at the same time the restrictions were little bit eased out allowing the movement of hundreds of stranded passengers as well as patients to move to hospital.
The District Administration issued curfew passes to four medical shop owners to felicitate the availability of medicines to the people in need of the same.
"These medical shops are allowed to keep their medical shops open during Curfew period in Kishtwar town as a part of emergency service to felicitate the patients' need as requested by CMO Kishtwar" read the Curfew pass issued by the administration to four medical shops viz Alshafa Medical Hall, Life Line Medicine, Mattoo Medical Shop and Shiv Medicates.
Beside restoration of landline and broadband services, the mobile connectivity of various officals of District Administration including SDMs, ACRs, ADCs and other District officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary or above. The mobile phones of senior police officals had also been restored as a part of better coordination to deal with administrative matters. Meanwhile the people were found rushing to the homes of the neighbors with landlines to call their near and dears studying or living outside the state.
Rehan Sirwal told the Early Times that he had to rush with his parents to call her sister and uncle. He said that her sister is studying while his uncle is in job at Delhi.
"As soon as we came to know about the restoration of landlines-- we feel happy-- after five days we were able to talk to our family members" said Rehan. He urged the government to atleast restore the mobile service.
Many security personnel on duty also complaint about non availability of mobile network connectivity added that there family members might be worried about our safety and security. Some security personnels were also felicitated by the locals and allowed them to call to their family members.
Meanwhile the District Administration will decide about the curfew relaxation after Friday prayers.
