8/9/2019 10:46:46 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9: In an urgent meeting conveyed, Harbinder Singh President, Ajay Jagotra Vice President, Darshan Lal General Secretary , I P Singh and Paramjeet Singh of Association of Micro and Small Industries urged the government to support the Micro and Small Scale Industries in their tough time.
Mentioning about the uncertainty prevailing in the mind of Micro and Small scale industry in Jammu region due to order no.4 DI&C-J of 2019 dated 6.8.2019 issued by Director Industries & Commerce, He mentioned that this has created panic among the unit holders who are already suffering tough time because of the notices served by Banks and now by Director Industries and Commerce. Unit Holders are already pleading the Government departments like PDD , As it was in connection with the Amnesty scheme for industrialists, small industries and sick industries in the State Government's Budget Announcement 2018-19 - Exemption from interest, fines and surcharges on the arrears of the state government. PDD is charging interest on interest and cutting electricity connection of Micro Industries and forcing it to shut down or to become sick unit. He mentioned that the demand Charges and Interest should be waived off.
It has been resolved in the meeting that Govt should take the measures to provide the relief to all the Industrial Units for their survival and to avoid further closer of their Units. The state government should have an industrial policy that should offers attractive incentives along with 20% price preference to handhold and support the Micro Industry in Jammu Region. The government should also exempt experience for medical supplies in state government department as it used to happen earlier. The JKMSCL has refused ( going against the government policy) both price preference and ask for at least 3 years of experience from the unit holder forcing them to either close or become sick.
He also urged that the micro industry should be kept out of SARFAESI Act. As per Government of India, if due to any reason the Micro Industry is unable to sustain, the Government should look at support the Micro Industry rather then start penalizing the same. Payment should be issued to the micro enterprises at the earliest so that they do not suffer any more and the future tution enable streamlined.
