ADC Kathua reviews arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha

KATHUA AUGUST 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghanshyam Singh today convened a meeting to discuss and review the arrangements being put in place for smooth celebration of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival.

Meeting was attended by District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Ajay Soodan, AC LMD, Kuldeep Raj, Designated Officer Food Safety, Pankaj Soni, AD Fire Services, R K Raina, DySP HQ., Nikhil Rasgotra, Engineers, Medical Supdt. DH Kathua, Dr. S K Verma, TSO, CEO MC Kathua, Sanjeev Kumar, religious heads and other prominent citizens.

Threadbare discussion was held on sanitation, traffic regulation, parking, health care facilities, supply of essential commodities, sale of sacrificial animal, drinking water, electricity etc.

ADC directed PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power supply besides adequate water supply to the habitants of the district during Eid celebration especially during prayer time.

The Municipal authorities were directed to launch a cleanliness drive at Eidgah and other congregation places before Eid.

ADC asked the officers to ensure strict implementation of approved market rates of chicken, mutton, bakery and other items during EID. He further directed the officers to take strict action against black marketers, hoarders and erring shopkeepers as per the law.

He directed the Police and Traffic departments to effectively implement the route management and crowd management plan before Eid. The FCS&CA department was directed to provide ration in every place including far flung areas before Eid.
