JAMMU, Aug 27: F.C Bhagat, a former Dy' Commissioner & State General Secretary of the PDP party who contested 2014 election from Bishnah Constituency today tendered his resignation from the basic membership of the PDP party along with hundreds of workers including zone/block Presidents, Sr' Leaders & Sarpanch's/ Panch's.
While tendering his resignation, Bhagat said that he joined the PDP party under the leadership of a very experienced, visionary & secular leader i.e Lt. Mufti Mohd. Sayeed who was also known as the secular personality of the country. But unfortunately, after his demise the whole structure of the party collapsed & the party has remained only a sub-regional party with only Kashmir centric ideology. Besides this, the Sr' leadership of the PDP party of the Jammu province is least interested to work for the welfare of the people but they are confined only up to the chair/posts occupied by them which has left the common mass at grass root level hopeless.
Bhagat said that under such circumstances he cannot suppress the sentiments of his people & therefore keeping in view the alienation of the people from the grass root level, he has left with no other option but to quit the party as he is uncomfortable & felt let down by the current policies of the party.
Regarding his next course of action, Bhagat said that he is a man of common mass who has always respected the deliberation of his workers. He will accordingly decide his further course of action taking into consideration the decision of his people. |
