Jammu, Aug 31: Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu-(West) held its 1st Investiture Ceremony here today in the school premises. Pro-Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public Schools, SS Sodhi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Ruchi Chabra, Principal, Delhi Public School, Jammu graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The other members present on the occasion were CL Malhotra-Administrator DPS Jammu, Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, DPS Jammu, Arjun Malikarao, Film/Serial Producer and Director from Mumbai, along with the staff of DPS Jammu and DPS Nagbani. All dignitaries were accorded a formal welcome by the school band. The ceremony commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour along with the other dignitaries. The Principal of the school R. K. Verma presented welcome address and acknowledged the contribution and hard work put in by the staff for the progress and growth of the school in a short span of 3 years. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for sparing their valuable time to bless the staff and students of DPS Nagbani. It was followed by mesmerizing cultural items including Ganesh Vandana, Group Songs and foot tapping dances presented by the students on the occasion. Addressing the gathering and motivating the students, the Chief Guest SS Sodhi said that schools inculcate discipline and responsibilities amongst students to lead.
Leaders must transmit punctuality and discipline to other students to make everyone successful.
He therefore urged all the students to do their best and help the administration in taking the school to greater heights. He also expressed confidence that students in the school will do extremely well in their fields. |
