575 youth join Army, give clear warning to separatists, main-stream parties

Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: Joining of Indian Army by 575 youth from the State, majority of them from Kashmir Valley, has exposed malicious campaign launched by some forces inside and outside the country against forces. Joining of such a huge number of youth has also exposed leadership of separatists and main stream political parties of Kashmir Valley.
Virtually snubbing left-liberal intellectuals of the country and self-centered leadership of the Valley, these 575 youth today took pledge to serve the Motherland with dedication and commitment like youth of the other parts of the country. It is also an eye-opener for Tukday Tukday gang member Shaila Rashid, who is hell bent to demonize Indian Army by leveling fake and malicious campaign just to please terror groups.
According to handout issued by the Army, as many as 575 youth, hailing from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, were on Saturday inducted in the India Army. The new recruits for the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry were inducted at the passing out parade in Srinagar on Saturday.
Speaking to media , the fresh recruits said that they were ready to serve the motherland and would not refrain even from sacrificing their lives in the line of duty. They also expressed pride over the fact that they were now part of the Indian Army.
Family members of the new soldiers of the Indian Army also told media that it was a matter of pride for them.
Lt General Ashwini Kumar told media that several recruitment drives would be conducted in the region, adding that it was a sign of the changing face of Jammu and Kashmir. "The Indian Army stands with all those who want to move ahead in life," he said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry came into existence in 1947 in a bid to check the infiltrators.
The induction of the youth into the Army comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir is undergoing a transition, following the abrogation of Article 370, which provided special status to the region.
The region is under an unprecedented security cover, with several paramilitary personnel airlifted from other parts of the country to the Valley.
