Jammu, Aug 31: In order to give a massive push to various developmental works in Rural areas of the newly created union territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladkh following the scraping and abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A of the constitution by the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narindra Modi, the government of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh kept Rs 5 Crores each at the Disposal of all the 22 Deputy Commissioners of the two Union Territories to start the works identified during Government's "Back to Village" initiative and in Kishtwar District the government has prioritized 24 works to complete till 15th of September 2019 which include construction of Anganwari centers, repairing of water pipe lines, Water Kools and many other works as requested by the people. As per the details available with "Early Times" DC Kishtwar in order to push the government initiative of various developmental works chaired a marathon meeting of RDD department in which around 500 employees of the 13 blocks of the department participated and reviewed the progress under MGNREGA, PMAY and latest status under 14 FC Award and Back to Village Plan.
Senior officials including ADDC Kishtwar, Joint Director Planning, ACD Kishtwar, , XEN REW Kishtwar, BDOs, AEE, AEs, JEs, Inspector Panchayat, VLW's, MPW's, TAs, GRS's, Computer Assistants, besides other Officers/Officials remained present in the meeting.
At the outset, DC was briefed by the ACD Kishtwar about the ongoing progress of works under MGNREGA and other schemes like PMAY, 14th FC etc. through Power Point presentation.
