Randhawa kick-starts Water Supply Scheme

Jammu, Aug 31: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today started pipe laying work at Shiv Shakti Mohalla in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that it was the long pending demand of the locals of the area as they were facing acute shortage of drinking water in the absence of this pipeline. He said that water is the basic requirement of life and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is committed to provide basic amenities to its citizens.
Randhawa further said that the issue of shortage of drinking water supply was brought to his notice by the local residents and he immediately took up the matter with the officials of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and followed sincerely to ensure that a new Water Supply Scheme (WSS) is launched in the area to mitigate the sufferings of the people in this hot weather. He said that with the start of this pipeline laying work a long pending demand of the locality has been fulfilled.
He assured the people that BJP is committed to carry forward the slogan of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas'. He promised the locals that all their other pending demands which have been brought into his notice would be fulfilled soon in phased manner. He urged upon the officials of the PHE Department to ensure timely completion of this water supply scheme so that the people may not suffer anymore.
AEE PHE, Sanjeev Gupta, who along with his team was present on the occasion, assured MLC that the work would be completed well in time and the area would be supplied with adequate drinking water.
The locals appreciated the sincere efforts of Ch. Vikram in resolving their long pending demand and extended full support to the BJP in coming future. Those who accompanied MLC include Tarun Sharma, Dalbir Singh, Amit Gupta, Sachin Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Chaman Lal, Ravinder Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Mohinder Sharma and others.
