Udhampur, Sept 29: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur today formally inaugurated the "Senior Citizens Club Udhampur". The inauguration ceremony started with lightening of lamp followed by 'Sarsvandhna' recitation by the children of 'Bal Asram Udhampur. The Chairman of the Club Dr. Adarsh Prakash explained the aims and objectives of the Club. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, appreciated the cause of the Club and assured his co-operation for every activity of the Club that are meant for the uplift of the society. A large number of prominent citizens, organizations working for social cause, chamber of commerce, Lawyer associated with DLSA, army veterans, ex employees from various departments and patron-in-chief of the Jagriti Social and Non political organization and its managing committee graced the occasion. General Secretary of the Club Sh. Raj Guru conducted the proceeding and President of the Club Sh. Mahadeep Singh Jamwal presented the vote of thanks. |
