| Maj Jamwal makes astonishing revelations on Art 370 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: Many untold stories and details buried deep under the layers of time have started surfacing after the abrogation of Article 370, proposed fresh and fair delimitation, after the last 72 years long 'K' centric suppressive rule by dynastic legacies.

Gen Goverdhan Singh recalled details and made some startling revelations. The General intimated that, "Indian and Pakistani troops fought deadly battles against each other, as pawns, under the same British regime and British top brass; while the two newly formed nations lost over ten lakh populations in inter communal strife(s) as they fled from" he said. He recalled the painful event of how the Muslims of 4 JAK RIF slaughtering their Hindu and Sikh Comrades in cold blood while they were sleeping on the night of 21/22 October 1947. General Jamwal elaborated how Brig Rajinder Singh then fought a front line trench to trench battle personally as Chief of J&K State Forces with a handful of 100 men picked up from Badami Bagh Cantonment and successfully delayed the raiders by 4 days and caused attrition to 6000 force of tribals and Pakistani Regulars. The Stalwart Veteran advised that Seminars should be held regularly in the Northern and Western Commands and also in the Schools of Instruction like Staff College, College of Combat etc where this classic battle of Uri 1947 must be taught and .also in all Educational Institutions, Colleges and Schools in J&K. |
