| Medical shop sealed for selling banned drugs | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 4: Acting tough against drug menace & its propagators a medical shop was sealed for illegally selling banned drugs in Swakha Morh near to Vijaypur town.
Based on a written complaint against one Sanjay Sharma S/o Lt. Mukhand Lal R/o Swankha Morh Tehsil Vijaypur District Samba who was running Sharma Medical Hall & indulged in illegally selling banned drugs and psychotropic substances to the young people of the area, a Police party of P/S Vijaypur headed by SHO P/S Vijaypur Inspr. Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO Dr. Lov Karan Taneja along with a team of Drug and Food Control Organisation, Samba headed by Food Inspr. Vikas Sharma conducted raid at the said medical shop and recovered a good quantity of cache of banned/illegal narcotic drugs in the premises of the shop along with branded 08 liquors bottles of 750 ml each.
During preliminary questioning the owner were unable to give any invoice of the banned drugs and availability of the liquors in the shop.
On this, all the illegal drugs & liquor was seized and in this connection a Case FIR No. 152/2019 U/S 8/21/22/25-a NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation is going on. |
