Those include Sunil Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma, Abdul Ghani Kohli, Sofi Yousuf, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Altaf Thakur and Ali Muhammad Mir.
Another BJP party member said that our party we will fight the elections with full vigour. Our Panches and Sarpanches are ready for the polls. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the historic decision of revoking J&K's special status and strengthening the Panchayati Raj Institutions in the state, he added this is for the first time in the past seven decades that a three-tier system is being put in place in the state.
Also, National Panthers Party too has decided to fight on all the seats and have directed all district presidents and office bearers to make out all efforts to submit the names of candidates immediately. It was decided in a recent held meeting.
While on the other hand, there have been no words from other regional parties be it National Conference or Peoples Democratic Party about the campaigning or going for the election.
