JTC, SKF demand enhancement in cash relief

Jammu, Oct 25: Shadi Lal Pandita, President, Jagti Tenement committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (J&K) Jammu has said that the cash assistant relief being paid to the registered migrants from Kashmir valley under relief category does not meet the day to day expenses of the migrant families because of hike of prices of almost all essential commodities.
Pandita has demanded enhancement of cash assistance relief to the relief migrant holders to the tune of Rs.25000/- per family as against present assistance of Rs.13000/- per family to give recepite to this migrant community. Pandita has further said in meeting held at Jagti Nagrota that the Kashmirit Pandit Migrant community have suffered huge loss during past thirty years of migration due to damages/losses of their properties in Kashmir valley.
He has demanded release of one time compensation of Rs.1.00 crore in favour of each and every migrant family enabling them to meet the losses suffered by them during past 30 years of migration. Pandita has also demanded pending ex-gratia relief to the concerned beneficiaries which has been assessed long back on meager rates. Pandita has also demanded grant of Minority status to the Kashmiri Pandit community with reserving three assembly seats and one parliament seat for this community affording this community to elect their own representatives for the state assembly as well as Lok Sabha of India.
