JSS Jammu commemorates Inter School English Debate

JAMMU, Oct 25: The opening ceremony began with the welcome address and presentation of saplings to the esteemed guests as a tradition to embark green drive. Ensuing this debate started which ignited the spark of argumentations wherein the young intellects presented their ideologies in a amiable manner. It is pertinent to mention here that 28 schools participated with exuberance in this debate and in midst of cut throat competition Presentation Convent bagged the first prize, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu secured second prize and SOS Hermann Gmeiner School secured third prize, APS Jammu Cantt & Model Academy fetched Consolation Prizes. Ritesh from Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua was declared as the best speaker of the day. Congratulating the winners and their mentors, Rohini Aima (Principal cum Vice-Chairperson) asserted that contentment is easier to attain than happiness and success is where preparation and opportunity meet, so let's not be contented with victory and not be disheartened with failure. Let's raise the bar of performance wherein if we win or lose won't make us happy but where our performance ensures our happiness. All the dignitaries appreciated the meticulous & impeccable event and congratulated all the participants.
