JAMMU, Oct 25: As Government has been giving many sops to people of Jammu and Kashmir yet Kashmiri Pandit migrants have been given ration with out sugar with effect from October 2019 as Diwali gift.Languishing in several camp colonies in Jammu, the Relief holder Kashmiri Pandit migrants who get a free ration @ 9kg rice, 2 kg flour per head and 1kg sugar per family besides a cash assistance every month since the beginning of the migration from valley in 1990.Relief holder Kashmiri Pandit migrants alleged that Government has failed to address their problems which they have been facing for years together in spite providing some extra relief it was hell bent to curtail even sugar from ration when the prices of essentials were sky touching which seems to be very disgusting, they added."We asked the store keeper for sugar who said that Government has stopped to provide any quantity of sugar with ration" said a social activist Sunil Pandita while talking to EarlyTimes, adding that an order stands reportedly issued in this regard but store keeper did not displayed that order, he added. |
