Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Nov 9: In view of Ayodhya Verdict, the district administration has imposed curfew in Kishtwar since last night, while the vendors who have placed their Tents at Parade ground Kishtwar,in view forthcoming Urs of Shah Assar-ud-Din-Bagdadi, were demanding lifting of curfew. They said we have come here from Punjab, Ludhiana and Rajisthan and many other states of India every year for the purpose of doing business especially ahead the festival of Urs. They have set their small shops in the tents for selling clothes and other products at famous prade ground but unfortunately after restrictions in the district, their business is suffering and they are feeling it's heat now. Socio-political activist, Advocate Dar Mohsin, said that the curfew was imposed in night hours and the pilgrims as well as traders had no idea of such restrictions imposed abruptly in Kishtwar town. He also said that many pilgrims and traders have reached Kishtwar in order to celebrate this Urs/festival. He demanded administration has to take necessary steps in order to provide healthy atmosphere to pilgrims as well as to protect the loss of traders especially during this ancient festival.
