DC visits various health institutions

SRINAGAR, Nov 10: District Administration, Srinagar has extended infrastructure support to various health institutions in the district aimed at better patient healthcare in winter season and making adequate heating arrangements. Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary along with Joint Director Planning Yaseen Lone, Chief Medical Officer Dr Talat and other senior officers conducted inspection of various health institutions and enquired about facilities available and additional support required for extending best possible healthcare services to patients in winter season.
In a subsequent meeting with officials of health department the Deputy Commissioner approved immediate infrastructure support for SDH Gousia, PHC Khonmoh.
, PHC Zadibal, UPHC Batmaloo, UPHC Chhanpora and UPHC Lal Bazar which includes 25KV Gensets for each health institution, 60 split Hot-Cold ACs, 100 Gas heaters, 15 Gas concentrators and Rs 10 Lakh POL grant for heating arrangements. He also approved additional ambulance for Gousia Hospital in Tehsil Khanyar.
Dr Shahid interacted with locals at Khanyar and obtained feedback about the health services available. He also met with patients and attendance in various hospitals about availability of facilities and additional requirements. Directions were issued to visited health institutions to establish help desk for requirement of patients where intervention of district administration was necessitated.
