Workshop organized at polytechnic Jammu

Jammu, Dec 20: The annual workshop for preparation of Operational Plan (O-Plan) for various Polytechnics and Engineering colleges of J&K was conducted by NITTTR, Chandigarh at Govt. Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu.
The workshop was attended by the Principals and senior HOD's and faculty of various Govt. and Private Polytechnic colleges and Engineering colleges of J&K UT. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Technical Education, J&K who highlighted the role of Technical education and stressed upon incorporating the advanced technologies in the curriculum of Diploma Engineering students and training of staff on futuristic techologies.
In the workshop various demand driven staff development programmes and other need based courses were identified as a part of O-Plan to be conducted by NITTTR for the year 2020-21 in the various Polytechnics of J&K and at NITTTR Chandigarh for the exposure of the staff to the latest technologies in field of Technical education to improve the overall scenario of Technical Education in J&K. Others who attended the workshop were Er. Mehmood Ahmed, Secretary State Board of Technical Education, J&K, Er Mohd Shafi Bhat, Joint Director Technical Education, J&K, Er Altaf Shalla, Principal KG Polytechnic Srinagar, Er Ritu Jamwal Principal, Govt Women Polytechnic Jammu, Er Shafquat Ara, Principal Govt Women Polytechnic Srinagar, the Principals of various other Polytechnics of Kashmir and Jammu Division and HOD's of various Govt. and Private Polytechnics and Engineering colleges of J&K. Er Akash Dasgotra conducted the proceeding of the workshop and Er Ajay Thapa, Lecturer presented the vote of thanks. Er K.S Bhatia HOD Mechanical was the co-ordinator for the workshop.
