Jugal Kishore chairs DISHA meet at Jammu

JAMMU, DEC 20: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee - DISHA to review the physical and financial achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in Jammu district.
The meeting was attended by Member Parliament,(Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, ADDC Jammu, Director Tourism, Commissioner JMC, Director RDD, CPO Jammu besides district officers of Social Welfare, Health, PDD, PHE, PWD, Education, member of DISHA and other concerned departments.
DDC Jammu gave a power point presentation on the achievements and progress made in the district under different schemes and informed about the present status of various developmental projects.
During the meeting, the MP took a comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements of centrally sponsored schemes including MUDRA, PMGSY, DDUGJY, NRLM, PMUJ, PMKSY, PMUY, SAUBHAGYA, IWMP, Swachh Bharat Mission, etc.
While giving details of smart city Jammu project, it was informed that tenders for 6 projects under Module 1 have been floated for smart card, way finding signages, junction improvement, public toilets, vertical garden under flyover, intelligent traffic management system.
While reviewing Ayushman Bharat, it was informed that total 156571 beneficiaries were registered while 124154 golden cards were issued and 6282 patients were treated under the scheme in the district.
Regarding PMGSY, it was informed that 149 schemes were sanctioned out of which 96 have been completed.
The MP assessed the detailed report of Jammu-Akhnoor 4-laning and Ring Road, upgradation of Mubarkh Mandi complex, Tawi Front View and other implemented projects and instructed the concerned authorities and the executing agencies to expedite the work on the prestigious projects for their timely completion.
