Jammu, Dec 26: One day Divisional Level Workshop regarding National Immunization Day (NID 2020) was held in the Conference hall of Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K in collaboration with World Health Organization under the Chairmanship of Dr. Arun Sharma, Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K.
The workshop was attended by Assistant Director Family Welfare Jammu, State Immunization Officer J&K, Surveillance Medical Officer, NPSP (WHO) Jammu, Chief Medical Officers, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, District Immunization Officers, District Mass Education & Information Officers of Jammu Division.
A single Round of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization is going to be held on January 19, 2020 across the State. A threadbare discussion was held for the preparedness and strategies for successful conduction of National Immunization Day through power point presentation. It is pertinent to mention that India is Polio free since 2011 and it was resolved that all measures will be taken to ensure that it remains so. |
