BDC chairperson Gundna block rues increase in exam free from 5th to 9th class

Jammu, Dec 26: The Block Development Counsel Chairperson for Gundna Block of Doda District today rued the increase in examination fee from 5th class to 9th Class and called for immediate revocation of hiked examination fee and slammed the senior officials of Education department for their failure in sending any representative from the department in this public importance meeting.
While chairing the review meeting with all the sectoral officers of block Gundna at block office Gundna, BDC Chairperson Sarshad Natnoo discussed all government schemes and their benefits with the officials and laid stress for proper publicity and awareness about these schemes among the masses at Panchayat and Block level, beside also conveyed them about the plan for the coming months.
As per the details available with Early Times, Sarshad Natnoo said that the officials fail to demonstrate the welfare schemes before the public as a result of which the benefits of these schemes is not reaching out to the public beside also called for inclusion of PRIs in various awareness programs so that the massage could reach out to the people at door steps.
He also discussed other issues with the concerned departments like problems of roads falling under block Gundana and laid thrust of improving conditions of Doda to Gundna,
Doda to Malwana, Doda to Mohalla, Doda to Dongro, Jatheli, Gadather roads, ask PDD to replace GI wires used in HT lines by replacing them with "Rabbit Wire or Dog Wire" added that wooden poles are still in place at many places across Gundna block.
He also discuss the non availability of the staff in schools and called upon representatives of Education department who are absent from the meeting to make necessary arrangements of the staff before the end of winter break so that the poor student studying in government schools could not suffer for the want of better quality education. He also called for immediate repair of damaged PHE pipes so that people could not suffer for the want of drinking water during winters. He directed the BDO Gundna to send a detail note and concern points raised in the meeting to all the concern officials with the directions to address the same on top priority added that the progress on account of the issues raised in the meeting will be reviewed next month and will write to senior government officials in case any negligence on part of the officials towards work of public importance. He also laid stress for cooperation between the PRIs and the government officials for smooth functioning.
Among those who attended the meeting include BDO Gundna, AEE PHE, AEE PDD, AEE PMGSY, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, AEE Irrigation, Horticulture officer, Agriculture official, Range Officer Forest Department and others.
