Court rejects bail of 5 drug peddlers

JAMMU, Dec 28: Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Tahir Khurshid Raina today rejected the bail applications of alleged five drug peddlers Vishav Dogra, Sumeshwar Singh Jamwal, Amit Sharma, Sahil Zadoo and Vicky Kumar who were alleged book by the police in NDPS case.
Pursuant to these bail applications , a report was submitted by the ASI Police Post Chinore Jammu. As per the police report on 15.11.2019 these five accused persons were sitting in a suspicious situation in one canal who on seeing the police patrolling party , tried to run away from the place. However, police caught tham and from their possession 530 capsules SPASMEPYEVON PLUS were recovered along with 3000/- cash. Heroin was also recovered which ranged from half gms to one gms from each of the accused-applicant.
Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Tahir Khurshid Raina after hearing APP Suresh Sharma appearing for the state, observed that "....the society by its collective wisdom through process of law can withdraw the liberty that it has sanctioned to an individual when an individual becomes a danger to the collective and to the societal order. With these observations court did not find any merit in these bail applications.
