DPS Jammu bids farewell to class XII

Jammu, Dec 28: Delhi Public School, Jammu organized farewell ceremony 'Adieu Amigos' for the outgoing batch of class XII in the school premises here today. The students were welcomed by Class XI students in Tilak Ceremony. The programme commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp by the Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra along with Headmistress, Meenu Gupta, Head Boy, Head Girl and other dignitaries of the school.
Devoting the day to the years spent together with friends, teachers and reminiscences of joyous moments, students of Class XI presented a rich array of cultural programmes. Mesmerizing group and duet songs depicting sad separation and glorious memories of friendship touched sentimental chords, while variety of hip-hop, Bhangra and foot-tapping dances won a huge applause. The icings on the top were entertaining stand-up comedies, Orchestra From Mouth and Rap Song presentations.
This was followed by class-wise group photographs. However, the most awaited moment was the DPS Title Rounds, wherein around 80 students contested for the four coveted titles in three competitive elimination rounds. The final result was as follows: & DPS-Bhuvandeep Singh & Vanshika Bhat, Mr. & Ms. Farewell-Subhag Sharma & Riya Singh, Mr. & Ms. Versatile-Agastya Rana & Trisha Gupta, Mr. & Ms. Talent-Mohd. Mustaqeem Khan & Ashiya Iqbal.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra appreciated the talent and creativity displayed by the students. She urged the children to carry forward the torch of enlightenment and live up to the school motto 'Service Before Self'.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Sukaran Gupta, Class Representative of XI, which was followed by sumptuous lunch and Dances on DJ Beats.
