Jammu, Dec 28: Sanjeev Verma Divisional Commissioner Jammu presented medals to the medalists of the 28th Senior National Wushu championship-2019 (Men/Women) at New Indoor Hall MA Stadium Jammu. He congratulated Wushu Association of J&K for organizing a mega event in Jammu. Approximately 1200 participants from 42 Affiliated units of Wushu Association of India are participating in the championship. He welcomed all participants and officials during the speech, he applauded Wushu Association of J&K for promoting this combat sports in the state and bringing the laurels for the state at the international level. Vijay Saraf president Wushu Association of J&K presented the welcome address. He briefed the Chief Guest about the development of Wushu in the state. He also said the dignitaries during his speech that Wushu is the high priority sports of the country and during last Asian Games in Jakarta India Wushu team brought 4 medals, in which one medal was contributed by Wushu Association of J&K. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Munish Gupta Chief Editor Early Times, SM Bali, Jt. Secretary Indian Olympic Association, Sohail Ahmed General secretary WAI, Manish Kacker, vice president WAI and Mir Sarwar, famous Bollywood star of the state. |
