J&K scores 441 in first innings, Jharkhand trail by 79 runs on day 3 stumps

Jammu, Jan 5: Son of the soil, Abdul Samad is leaving no stone unturned to show his batting class as yet again he scored quick 128 runs in 75 balls as Jammu and Kashmir scored a mammoth score of 441 runs against Jharkhand in first innings as latter trails by 79 runs on day three stumps.
Jammu and Kashmir team were four down for 149 runs when Abdul Samad came to bat. And, rest he was all over the park smashing both spinner and fast bowlers. Samad and Captain Shubham Singh Pundir had a 169 runs partnership in 125 balls.
In his 128 runs knock, Samad hit eleven 6's and 10 boundaries continuing his batting performance from last match against Assam where he also made a century. It is pertinent to mention here that Sunrise Hyderabad has purchased Abdul Samad for basic payment for upcoming addition of Indian Premier League this year.
Samad lost his wicket when Jammu and Kashmir had reached on a score of 318, and after that it was the Abid Mushtaq that kept the score board ticking and remained not out. Captain Shubham Singh Pundir also played his part by scoring 56 runs holding one end. Last five batsmen for Jammu and Kashmir added 113 runs.
For Jharkhand, Ashish Kumar, Rahul Prasad and Varun Aaron took three wickets each and Utraksh Singh managed one wicket.
Coming to bat in second innings, Jharkhand had good start till Kumar Deobrat was adjudged LBW by Auqib Nabi on the score of 40 runs. Md Nazim was next to go on score of 56 runs followed by Saurabh Tiwary on 70 runs.
Utraksh Singh was the last batsman to fall on day three. Virat Singh and I R Jaggi are still in the crease. It will be astonishing to see, where Jharkhand will go on day four of the Ranji Match.
Earlier, Earlier, Jharkhand won the toss the chose to bat and scored 170 runs for the loss for four wickets on day 1 of the Ranji Match with only fifty over's played. On day 2, Jammu and Kashmir were 135/3 trailing by 124 runs as Jharkhand were bundled out on 259 runs.
