Jammu, Jan 5: Thakur Hoshiar Singh Congress Leader and a social activist continuing his tour of Rural areas took stock of the problems of the locals were facing and the main one was of the acute shortage of water supply. While interacting with the Panch Suman Devi Chib listened to her side of the story. She had the following to say, water supply is in trickles and the PHE Department is simply` not interested. It is rather a pity that the water does not come for days together and when we raise the voices of the people are simply brushed aside. When it is asked that the water simply does not come here in the Ward the convenient reply given is that either the lift and supply motors are not working or the supply is short from behind. When asked then why not a water tank the answer i9s more laughable, there is dearth of oil. If a Ward has been made then why not people facilities for the Ward? After all this also comes in municipal jurisdiction.
The locals were also vociferous regarding the since many elders too had gathered in the congregation. |
