JAMMU, Jan 7: Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) Jammu today hosted a foundation and motivational course for KAS officers batch of 2016, here on its campus. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mission Youth and Additional Secretary Finance Department, Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah was chief guest at the programme. In his address, Dr Abid Shah highlighted the essence of Administrative service and asked the young officers to put in their best efforts to understand the intricacies involved in the task. He reminded the officers that their main job is to serve the people. "It is not about enjoying power, it is only about serving people. It takes 3-5 years at least to understand constitutional setup and workflow for a new civil service entrant," he explained.
He asked them to take their training period seriously as it would make them fit enough to work even in difficult conditions.
Dr Abid Shah also shared his experience with the officers and asked them to follow and focus on their role in good governance, how to interact with the people and challenges in the society.
