Finally, Altaf Bukhari succeeds in breaking the PDP
Rebel's ruthless coup!
1/7/2020 10:36:00 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: Nobody had expected even in he wildest of dreams that on a day when 4th death anniversary of the PDP founder, Mufti Sayeed was being observed, Altaf Bukhari, a former rebel and the ousted leader, would break it in pieces.
As per the reports, Bukhari-led a seven member delegation on Monday that submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lt-Governor to move forward the political process, which got halted on August 5.
As the speculations about the formation of the 3rd front are rife, Bukhari, through this new move, has hinted that another rebellion within the PDP is in the offing. Surprisingly, Bukhari's delegation had six active PDP leaders who met the Governor on Tuesday and sought restoration of statehood and domicile rights to the citizens of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Bukhari, as per the reports was accompanied by Ghulam Hassan Mir (President Democratic Party Nationalist), Mohammad Dilawar Mir (Former Minister), Zaffar Iqbal (Former MLC), Javed Hassan Beig (Former MLA), Noor Mohammad Shiekh (Former MLA), Choudhary Qamar Hussain (Former MLA) and Raja Manzoor Ahmad (Former MLA).
As per the insiders, Bukhari has shown his strengthen of enjoying the support of the PDP leaders and his intention to flout the third front in Jammu and Kashmir which will work for socio-economic and political aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bukhari who is expecting that more PDP and NC leaders will join him in the coming days, has while meeting the governor has raised the demand of Restoration of Statehood,Safeguarding Rights over Land and Jobs,Release of Detainees,Withdrawing Cases against Youth,Restoration of JK Bank's Functional Dominion,Reviving Agriculture and Horticulture Sectors,Support for Industry and Manufacturing Sector,Tourism and Allied Industries and their Revival,Relief for General Trade including Shopkeepers, Bus Owners, Taxi Owners,Addressing Unemployment and Restoration of Internet in Jammu and Kashmir.
This formerPDP leader who has served as the R&B, Education and Finance Minister in the PDP led government in Jammu and Kashmir was ousted by the PDP last year with his party accusing him of planning a major coup. Even when Mehbooba Mufti expressed reluctance to join BJP after her father's demise, it was Bukhari who was accused of planning a rebellion within the PDP camp and holding secret parleys with the BJP to sideline Mehbooba and form the government. "Till the dissolution, Mr Bukhari had the hopes of getting the government back. Though, till then, he was behaving like a party man but his one foot was in PDP and his soul and spirit were with all other parties except PDP. He was in contact with the outlaws and even made hectic efforts to instigate rebellion within the party," party said while ousting him on January 21, last year.
Bukhari, on the contrary hasn't reacted to such allegations levelled against him by his own party. All he has said is that he will respond to the PDP's accusations at an appropriate time.
