Citizenship Amendment Act is for persecuted minorities: Pathania
1/7/2020 10:23:17 PM
Early Times Report

Ramnagar, Jan 7: While addressing a large number of party cadres here at town hall Ramnagar, RS Pathania, spokesperson JK BJP, and former MLA, impressed upon party cadres that while implementing Citizen Amendment Act (CAA), Modi Govt. has fulfilled a decades-old sentiment and the spirit of the 'very concept of India'.
History is testimony to the fact that similar sentiments and expressions have been expressed by the leaders cutting across the party lines in the past too. They wanted comprehensive legislation on this humanitarian issue but nobody had the guts to bell the cat.
The courage and conviction of the present government is worth admiring, whereby they have come to the rescue of these persecuted minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who have been brow-beaten, oppressed and driven out of their countries, which has been a matter of concern for people and personalities across the globe.
Pathania was critical of the opposition who was trying to mislead the public on the basis of half-baked truths and facts, trying to politicize the issue for self gains as they have been decimated and have nothing concrete to criticize the public friendly policies of the current govt.
Pathania said that people of India are wise enough to see through the nefarious the propaganda of those trying to spread disharmony and hatred in the disguise of CAA. Pathania called upon party cadres to spread out to the farthest nook and corner of the Ramnagar and to clear all the doubts and misconceptions of the public on Citizenship Amendment Act.
Pathania said that CAA suffices to grant "Citizenship" to these persecuted minorities who have virtually been decimated from their respective counties rather than taking away citizenship rights from anybody.
