DDC Udhampur inaugurates job awareness camp at DECC

UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: District Development Commissioner Udhampur Dr.Piyush Singla today inaugurated one day Rozgar awareness Mela in the premises of District Employment & Counselling Centre Udhampur.
The Rozgar Mela & awareness function was organised by the Employment Department in collaboration with Chenab Textile Mills (CTM) Kathua.
Director Employment J&K Y.P Suman, Joint Director Employment, Jyoti Rani Slathia, Deputy Director Employment Udhampur Subhash Chander Dogra along with team of Chenab Textile Mills Kathua under the supervision of Kamaldeep Sharma Vice President Human Resource Department CTM were present on the occasion.
More than 700 un-employed youth from the different corners of the district participated in the camp.
The management of CTM Kathua registered more than 525 un-employed educated youth of age group from 18 to 35 years and having qualification from 5th to 12th standard for the post of machine operators.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC impressed upon the youth to avail the opportunity of Rozgar Mela & reap the benefit of the different schemes including PM-SYM pension scheme and other schemes being looked after by the Employment Department. He also stressed up on the management of CTM Kathua to organize more such camps in the Udhampur District to redress the un-employment issue of the youth.
Meanwhile Kamaldeep Sharma Vice President of Chenab Textile Mills Human Resource gave detailed account about the terms & conditions and nature of the job being provided to the youth & elaborated about the working of Chenab Textile Mills Kathua and its status & contribution in providing job to the local un-employed youth.
