Students use paint brushes to create Road Safety awareness

Poonch, Jan 12: The motor vehicles department Poonch organised a drawing/ painting competition for school and college students today as a part of ongoing Road Safety Week celebrations with a view to create the much needed awareness regarding road safety among the younger generation.The programe was organised at Christ school Poonch.Other dignitaries who graced the ocassion were SP Poonch Raja Adil Hamid and Dr. Sarfraz Mir Chairman Sir Syed Education Mission Poonch.Nearly 100 students from different schools in the poonch city took part in the competition and created the art using their imagination to spread the message on the necessity of traffic rules.Speaking on the ocassion Arto Jugal Kishore Sharma encouraged the students for their participation and said that painting/debate competition was one of the best ways to teach students on road safety as children use their creativity and talent to raise awareness.He thanked all the stakeholders for their active participation with special words for Father Mathew Principal Christ School Poonch for their excellent management for hosting the competition.He further added that the selected works will be honoured at valedictory function and certificates of participation will be awarded to all the students.
