DDC Doda directs to organize special activities under Red Cross

DODA, Jan 14: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers of the District Red Cross Society Doda and directed the officers to organize special activities on monthly basis in their respective jurisdictions under the banner of District Red Cross Society positively.
In this regard, the DDC has directed all the participants to prepare a list of innovative activities that can be organized across the district in every month for the period of next six months.
DDC, who is also the chairman of the Society, asked the participants to help in creating awareness regarding the role of District Red Cross society in saving human lives during disaster like situations.
DDC further had a detailed discussion on various issues and focus was laid on raising contributory funds to meet the requirements of people during calamities, disasters and emergent situations. The participants put forth various suggestions and innovative ideas to further streamline services of the Society for the cause of the needy people.
To generate the funds for proper functioning of District Red Cross Society, the DDC directed the Executive Secretary to install donation boxes in all the public offices within the week time and asked the officers to motivate the general public and employees to made contributions in favor of the Red Cross society so that financial assistance can be extended among the poor, needy and deserving ones, besides asked the Executive Secretary to put up the figures of contributions made by all the officers during the last year towards the society tomorrow without any fail.
The meeting was attended by CEO Doda, CMO Doda, MS District Hospital Doda, DPEO Doda, EO Thathri, BMO's, Executive Secretary Red Cross Society Doda, besides by the officials of the MC Doda & Sports department.
