1/31/2020 10:54:17 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 31: Paharis have justifiably won their due share after decades of injustice, and all the credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central as well Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory (UT) governments, claimed BJP senior leader and former MLC Vibodh Gupta(Adv.).
Vibodh Gupta was also accompanied by J&K BJP Press Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and senior Pahari leader & BJP District President Poonch Mohd. Rafiq Chishti, while he addressed a press conference
Vibodh Gupta, while addressing the media persons thanked Central and UT Governments of J&K for granting 4% reservation to Paharis in Jammu & Kashmir. While referring to the new reservation policy approved by the State Administrative Council, Vibodh said that this is a matter of great satisfaction and celebration that for the first time ever Paharis have been formally recognized as a tribe.
Vibodh, congratulated all the Pahari speaking people of J&K and called upon them to become part of the vision of PM Narinder Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. While complementing able and visionary leadership of the Nation, he said that justice has been given to Paharis without affecting any other section of the society.
This, he said is in line with the vision of the PM Modi regarding Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikaas and Saab ka Vishwaas. This reservation for Paharis has opened upon immense opportunities for the overall growth and development of the Pahari community in general and youth in particular. He also called upon younger generation to work hard and contribute in the mission for the development of J&K.
